where to begin....
It's just been way too long since I posted. I didn't even get another one in before 2007 ended. Actually, sometimes they do strange things with the time so maybe this will end up saying '07 instead of '08. Either way...
I've described having a baby with this analogy. Having a baby is like owning a $300,000 house. You own this home, it's where you live, where your stuff is, your routine, your comfort, etc. Then someone comes up to you and gives you a check for $310, 000. You respond with awe and joy. What a huge gift! You never knew anything like that could happen...the luck, the possibilities, the excitement...
The next part is where you turn around and your house is completely gone. All your comfort, your routine, your stuff...vanished. You find yourself with the $310, 000, having the ability to craft a better life than was previously the case, yet you must begin the slow process of building and achieving it. You have new things, which are great, but the old things are gone. There is a loss in your gain.
Thankfully, this gain only grows with time. Elenora is a sweet girl, amidst all her stubbornness and high demands. She seems bright, and intense, and interested. She's full of life. She's a precious little person. We enjoy her now.
So, work sucks. But Bryn is saying I need to go to bed. Happy New Year's!
