something I noticed

I think that for some reason October is the month where cloudless days are most common. I think I can remember a few years where I realized that October featured days of completely blue sky. In Massachusetts, it isn't that common. Maybe just in October...

it's the most unwonderful time of the year

Beginning on September 21, I came down with a sore throat and a cold. A nice, full, snotty, coughing, difficulty sleeping, energy-sapping kind of cold. I think I've been sick at this time of year before. Maybe it's a tradition. At least now it's documented. Maybe next year I can buy the cough drops and tissues ahead of time.
